Goliad EDC is currently working on residential and commercial lot enhancements. We have partnered with the Goliad City Council to identify lots in need of clearing that may be repurposed for homes or businesses. The Fulcrod Road Project includes the removal of debris and buildings to provide a Habitat for Humanity home.

Goliad Economic Development partnered with Main Street Goliad on the 2020 Virtual Imagine the Possibilities Tour. This tour features 3 buildings located in the Goliad Main Street District. We invite developers, investors, realtors, and residents eager to explore downtown to do so from the comfort of their homes by tuning in to a virtual tour and checking out available listings on DowntownTX.org.

The Texan
Goliad EDC helped partner The Texan convenience store with Goliad City Council to bring this fuel and food center to Goliad. This business impacted the community by bringing both full and part time jobs, increasing sales tax revenue and creating a stop for trucks and trailers that was not possible before.

Signage Grant
New Signage for Goliad Businesses
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey destroyed many businesses along the Gulf Coast. GEDC offered sign grants up to $2,500.00 for businesses in the City of Goliad affected by this storm. The Goliad Suddz Car Wash was a beneficiary of on these grants. We were happy to help the business restore signage and reopen.
