I am Kristin Billo, GEDC President. I moved back to Goliad in 1997 to raise my family. I am also a teacher and local business owner. There are so many reasons to recommend Goliad. For history lovers, the rich heritage of First Americans, Spanish, French, German, and Mexican cultural influences are apparent everywhere. Farmers and Ranchers are integral in our community known as the Birthplace of Texas Ranching. Due to the success of our local schools, families are choosing Goliad for its robust GISD programs. We are looking forward to helping families and businesses relocate to a city in position to thrive while keeping our beautiful city's small town charm. When thinking about doing business, Remember Goliad.

Luis J. Rodriguez

Welcome to Goliad! My name is Luis J. Rodriguez I have called Goliad, TX my home since July of 1979. I have a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&I University and have worked 39 years in the private sector as a business manager, accountant and auditor. I have been devoted to seeing Goliad grow and prosper by serving on the Goliad City Council for 6 years, the MDD board for 4 years and the EDC board for 4 years. I have a strong background with profit and non-profit organizations and during my term on the MDD board assisted with the Goliad Little League securing grants to fully renovate the field. I believe we have a pro-business environment with a supportive City Council and EDC that is willing to help businesses relocate and prosper in Goliad. My goal is to continue our efforts to stimulate Economic growth with our City and Community Development.

Mary Gleinser

Mary returned to Goliad in 2015 to care for her parents. She is devoted to her family, her boxers, and all things Goliad. She states quite often, “Any success I've had in life is a result of the fine values and work ethic I learned growing up in Goliad. We all help each other. Our greatest blessing is the willingness and ability to come together and serve: our community, our country; and our God. We are Goliad — a great place to raise kids and a great place to retire. I believe it's the volunteer spirit that makes Goliad the wonderful community it is. I am fortunate to call Goliad home.”

Jayne Hoff

Hi! My name is Jayne Hoff and I would personally like to welcome you to the Goliad Economic Development Corporation website.  Thank you for your interest in our special little piece of Texas. Having grown up in Goliad and choosing to make Goliad my home has brought me an immense sense of pleasure and pride in how we plan for the future as well as respect the past. I am a retired City of Goliad Administrator, having had the pleasure to serve the people of Goliad for 25 years.  Since my retirement with the City, I have been working in the Administration Division of the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office. My husband and I live and work on a family ranch that has been in the family for over 120 years. We would love to visit with you about the wonderful place Goliad is to begin your next journey in life; to raise a family; or to become a valuable and respected part of our business community. Come see us!

Willie Nelson

I love my community and strongly believe in helping others. I am a standing member and past president of the Goliad Rotary Club, a director of the Goliad Education Foundation, the vice president of the Senior Centers Board and the secretary of the Goliad Economic Development Corporation. While serving I was fortunate to complete two degrees: one applied science in respiratory care and another a Bachelor of Science in business management. I always envisioned myself as a teacher. I am a teacher, educating my clients at Edward Jones with sound investment strategies that help them toward their long-term goals.
